The City of Melbourne and the Y are proud to support and be a part of the Victorian Seniors Festival throughout October.
We have a range of free events and classes across all our sites, aimed at seniors aged 50 and over. Get involved to gain new experiences, socialise with others and have fun! You don’t have to be a member with us – everyone is welcome to join the celebration.
Take a look at the events schedule at each of our sites below. Once you book a session, you’ll receive a confirmation closer to the time of the event with further details.

Carlton Baths (248 Rathdowne St, Carlton)
Aqua Aerobics Class |
Jump in the warm water at our outdoor pool and enjoy a fun workout in gorgeous surroundings. Refreshments will be provided after the class. |

Low-impact Cardio Class |
This class is an aerobic style class that encompasses low impact and medium intensity workouts. Refreshments will be provided after the class. |

Zumba Gold |
A 'dance fitness party' for older adults to move to the rhythm of the music, incorporating low and high-intensity intervals. An enjoyable way to improve cardiovascular fitness, burn calories, and enhance stamina, strength, and flexibility. Refreshments will be provided after the class. |

Kensington Community Recreation and Aquatic Centre (Altona St, Kensington)
Water Safety Session |
This interactive workshop is designed to educate seniors, especially those from multi-cultural backgrounds, on safety around water environments. The session will include identifying aquatic dangers, how to use a life jacket, how to perform a reach rescue without entering the water etc. Refreshments will be provided after the event. |

Seniors Sport and Activity Day |
This sports day will enable participants to try a variety of sports and activities at one time. Participants will rotate through the activities during the morning. Refreshments will be provided after the event. |

Royal Park Golf Course (11 Old Poplar Rd, Parkville)
Golf Clinics |
These golf clinics are the perfect opportunity give golf a go in a relaxed and social environment. There will be a beginners, intermediate & advanced session. The focus of the clinics will be stance & swing, and are for non members of the Royal Park Golf Course. Choose one of 3 time slots when registering. Refreshments will be provided after the session. |

Reformer Pilates |
This class focuses on engaging the muscles, particularly around the core. It can help improve strength, stability, athletic performance, balance, posture, weight loss and injury recovery. Book into one of the five classes on offer! |
