Skate Club is a sporting program with a difference, no whistles, no uniforms. We don't focus on winning the next competition, just personal progression and having fun.

The program is broken into two different levels, each level incorporates an elevated degree of technical difficulty, covering the basics of street and transition skateboarding.

What is Skate Club?

Skate Club provides a supportive learning environment with a social focus. No whistles, no uniforms - it's more a group mentoring program, rather than a lesson.

Skate Club (beginner – Intermediate)

Skate Club is a regular group session held every weekend.

The next step; the sessions are aimed at children aged 6-12 who have some basic skills and interested to further develop their skating.

The Instructors provide a positive and encouraging environment that supports the children to develop at their own pace and in their own style. The small group sessions have a social focus to meet and connect with other young skaters.

Skate Club (Advanced)

Having graduated from Skate Club, the master class is the next step towards competition skateboarding and being a part of the Rivers Skate Team!

Held weekly the semi-informal lesson focuses on creating an environment where the participants encourage and support one another towards new achievements.

Working towards participating in the Skate Park Leagues competitions (SPL), the sessions focus on advanced skills development and competition preparation. Participants are supported to develop their competition runs and to participate in the SPL competition at Riverslide.

Due to current COVID-19 Government restrictions participants must provide their own safety equipment, skateboards are available for use on request.

*It is recommend that beginners complete at least one private lesson before joining Skate Club.
